COLOUMN OF A SUBTASK
NOW THERE ARE MANY KINDS OF COLUMNS YOU CAN SEE IN A TASK
SUCH AS TOPLEVEL FOLDER, PARENT, CONTEXT, DUEDATE ETC.I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST ALSO SUBTASK OF THE TASK AS A COLOUMN
WHY
SUPPOSE I HAVE A NONHIERARCHIAL LIST OF ACTIONS TO DO TODAY
AND I WANT TO KNOW
IS THERE A NEXT ACTION TO MY ACTION ( LIKE DAVID ALLEN SAID)
OR SHOULD I CREATE A NEXT ACTION1 vote -
Log Habits
Why use a third party app to log habits (Strides, Way Of Life, Habitica etc..)
Learn from them and implement this feature and connect it to reoccurring habits.
i.e.: completing successfully or unsuccessfully 'Gym Training' due on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday will be logged and you will be able to see your strikes, best chain success, and other information like in the app 'WayOfLife'This feature is great for motivation, rewarding yourself, and for building habits.

Counters for tasks - count just genuine tasks
in the "Task Views Pane" tasks are counted.
However the issue i have is that all tasks are counted independend of the fact if they are folders or projects.
This is missleading.
The counter should be at least configurable to count ony pure tasks and not the structural tasks like projects or folders.

Android: WiFi sync every so many minutes
Currently the only automated sync is Cloud based which will keep your changes synchronized. We need the WiFi sync to also be automated so we don't have to manually click the sync every time we want our change to be synchronized

Dark mode/Dark theme for Windows version. Built in Dark mode for eye health
Please create a native Dark mode for the whole Windows application.
It would help immensely especially for night time use at the very least.
All of us spend a lot of time staring at screens and it would be really great to have a Dark mode to reduce eye strain. Pleas check out the discussion in the groups.

Thanks.
Thanks.

Introduce an 'automatic rescheduling' option to Timing and Reminder.
This would introduce a 'flow' to linked tasks similar to MS Project in that the start date/time of the dependent Next Action is automatically calculated by way of the current task Due Date plus Dependency Delay or because it is in a sequence of 'Complete in Order'. Having a way of turning this OFF for some tasks via a tick box prevents a universal updating which may not be helpful.
As a slight enhancement to this, another suggestion is to use the 'Effort' Min/Max time to remove 'float' from any sequence of activities by reducing the time between Start Date…

iOS: Task Recurrence Options - Bring up to the level of the Windows version
Like the suggestion for bringing the Android version recurrence options up the level of the windows version. Cumbersome to have to partially set up a task in iOS; sync, and then finish recurrence in windows.

Android: Sync to folder
For the android app, in addition to WiFi sync, the option to sync to a folder on the device would be really helpful for those of us using a folder sync app on our phones. Also if this option would sync all profiles, instead of just the active profile, for people with many profiles, switching between each profile manually to do the wifi sync is a hassle. So sync to folder on device, and sync all profiles at the same time. I know it is possible to create a backup, but those only go to the downloads folder and only…

weekly / monthly view - to position recurrence of tasks
I am using recurring tasks to get a longer work sprint organized so that i put the various subtask in the week and the pattern then repeats weekly each week.
Currently i works fine, but i would be much easier if one could for example drag&drop a recurring task with weekly recurrence on a time slot in the week and be done with the config.Same approach could be useful for monthly recurrences.
same view can then be used of course for the viewing of the actual week and the things done from the weekly view.
that was cool :).…

Add Image Support
I'd like to copy/paste images in task notes. Often I have to put in board photos in my notes.

Location based reminders as a task property
Currently you can be reminded of tasks when they have a context with a location attached to them. This is only really useful for locations that you visit often and have multiple tasks at. In a situation, where I have a single task for a location that I'll probably only ever visit once or twice, it's a huge hassle to create a new context for that specific place and add it to the task only to be deleted later. Also the current location reminder system only reminds of active actions but it would be useful to have an option to…

Allow to set the weight of "no due date" in computed score
At the moment, tasks with no due date always appear above tasks with due dates (all other things being equal. But this makes the whole concept of computed score pointless as a completely trivial task which doesn't ever really need doing (just a 'maybe one day...') gets placed above a vitally important work project which is due at the end of the month. I'm genuinely baffled as to how this was ever supposed to work.
One simple solution would be to allow adjustment of the weight given to "no due date", in the same way as we already have the…

Days of Month Recurring Tasks
I'd like to request that MLO support Days of Month recurring tasks. Presently, MLO only allows you to enter ONE day of the month for a recurring task. I'd like to be able to select multiple days for the same task. For example, suppose you have a task that's due on the 16th of each month AND the last day of each month. In MLO, you'd have to create two separate tasks. Compare this with Omnifocus, which displays a popup calendar where you can select as many days as you want. I'm well aware there are many ways to work…

New toolbar button to move task(s) one day forward
The optional button would move the selected task one day forward or instantly create today as due date if no date exists. This skips any popup interface.
Similar buttons could be created to move multiple dates one day forward.
or move reminder one hour foward.1 vote -
Other private and legal sync on all devices
Right now we only have the choice between the paid cloud and... nothing actually. FTP isn't available on mobile devices so it's no real help because you will allways have a difference between some devices..
In the new EU using a third party cloud as sometimes a crime. For real. So we need a new, legal possibility for the cloud. It doesn't really matter what, as long as you can run it yourself. FTP, httpServer, whatever. Any possibility where no third party is involved. That also means No Google, no Dropbox.
I am using FTP on my Windows PCs to…6 votes -
Manual Sorting task priorities for importance and urgency
It is very difficult to assign an arbitrary level of importance to a task from 0-200. It is however much easier to decide if one task is more or less important than another. I would suggest the ability to start with a graphical sort, a flat hierarchy, (a bubble sort if you will). The position in the list would assign the starting number of importance or urgency then let MLO do its magic.

Task properties and notes visible at the same time
At the moment one can either edit notes, or show task properties in the right-hand pane. There's a button to toggle between the two, but no way (that I can find) to have both active at the same time. However this makes little sense when I have a 4K monitor. There's plenty of real estate to show both at the same time.

High DPI and 4K Support for Windows
With more and more screens out there that require screen scaling at more than 100% it is time for MLO to catch up with many other applications and lead the desktop task organizers category with supporting scaling on these higher DPI screens.
MLO is a program that is probably used more than occasionally by most users and the fuzzy appearance or too-small items on these screens is just too hard on the eyes.59 votes
