  1. Broadly speaking Wifi syncing works very well. Changes on my (Android) Phone's MLO client are reflected to my (Windows) MLO desktop client.

However, there's is an unnecessarily strict requirement, as mentioned in Android MLO > Settings > Profile > Synchronization > Wifi

Wifi syn allows you to synchronize with MLO on PC connected to the same Wifi network.

On my LAN I have a wired connection between my desktop PC and my router, and a wireless (Wifi) connection between my router and phone. There's no way to MLO sync under this configuration because of the wired connection, even though it's…

  2. Now we have one-way integration between Mac's reminders and MLO: Anything we put into reminders is sent to MLO (only in that direction, hence the "one-way integration), and deleted from Reminders. Reminders is not aware of anything you do with your tasks in MLO from that point on.

It would be useful to have two-way integration between Mac's Reminders and MLO, where the tasks that are completed either in Reminders or in MLO are marked as complete in the other app.

That may be a good workaround for while we wait for the MLO Mac version.

  3. For multiselected tasks, in its the displayed contexts list, for each checkbox of the contexts, it could display a mixed state (instead of just checked or unchecked)
. for cases where some selected tasks have different contexts assigned
. in order to preserve the mixed status of the selected tasks when I only want to remove or add a context (to all) but without affecting the tasks specific/distinct contexts
    . example:
    - selected tasks: {task1:[@context1,@context2]}, {task2:[@context1,@context3]}
    - display: [(checked) @context1, (mixed state) @context2, (mixed state) @context2, (unchecked) all the others]
    - if clicking on the checkbox of:
    - @context1:

  4. currently the automatic grouping is day, week, month, past...
    Beyond past no groups appear.

What would be good is to enable more groupings - like by year, month, day, but for all available dates both in the future and in the past.

Idea is to get a simple view on what happened when as kind of log.

  5. Provide a way to view and/or modify the current sleep duration for a task.
Eg: You might set a task to sleep for 4 days (via the "Remind Again In" field in Reminders), but then realise that is too long, but currently there is no way to change it or reset it, (without affecting all the existing values).

  6. Once you "zoom in" and try "zoom-out", you will go back to the ROOT level which is not logical and makes things messy.
This is really important for me and I think it should be very easy for developers to fix.
One of the main reasons why I switched to MLO from another software I used for years was zoom in option because I have many levels in depth and like to focus using zoom in.
But zoom out to root really makes things messy without any logic.
I would highly appreciate MLO fix this. Thanks

  11. To have an option to use "dynamic' words in the task description?

    Example in a recurring task:
    Make tax payment for <month>

Every time the task is set for the next occurrence, the month name is updated. So when set in December, it should read Make tax payment for December

And it would be January if <month+1> was used when setting in December.

    Etc...

  13. Some suggestion to improve MLO userfriendliness.
    1. It would be nice to have the filter settings available in a tab in the manage
    2. When adding a new task, it would be nice to be able to ‘link’ it to a project or a folder directly from the properties section. So without drag and drop.
    3. It would be nice if recurring task only can set (and reset) a starting date without he need for a due date

  14. The drop-down list has a caption "Remind again in:".
I will refer to this control as a 'ComboBox', (as it is commonly known in GUI's).

i.e. Allow some way to make the ComboBox list appear without having to click the tiny little arrow every time!
(This applies when using the mouse only. I realise there is a short-cut key (Alt+Down) when just using the keyboard.)

Why? Well, it may sound trivial at first, but when applying delays to many reminders every day and having to click the little arrow each time to see the list, it really slows down the…

  15. The current grouping & sorting has no benefit to me at all.
There needs to be a way to adjust the grouping & sorting.

Either add a new Setting to allow this or perhaps, after a user has saved a View with their preferred grouping & sorting, then allow the Reminders window to group & sort its list based on your saved View.

  16. The Reminders list (on the Reminders window) should be displayed similarly to a View, so that it is easy to visualise and interpret.

It needs to include things like:

    • alternating row colours --> a must-have!
    • display due dates as "-4 days" --> to eliminate the unnecessary 'overdue' text,
    • allow the user to determine the colours to display the overdue words;
      • or display minutes (or < 2 hours) in orange, hours (or < 2 days) in purple & days in red (or >= 2 days)
      • -- This is to help visualise which tasks are recently or long overdue.
    • an optional column…

  17. Some ideas are:

    • allow the user to specify the list of delay items to display in the drop-down list (specify this list via Settings). (The current list is very inadequate.)
    • provide about 4 to 6 fast access buttons beneath the comboBox for either:
      • the most commonly used delays,
      • or for user-defined delays (specify via Settings) - this is my preference.

  18. The current Markdown implementation in the "Notes" field is a huge improvement, but it seems to have a number of issues with correctly handling parts of the Markdown spec. For example, nested lists don't work at all. An improved, standards-compliant Markdown processor would be very nice to have.

  19. Currently in Android, one uses the "Add to Inbox" by clicking the button at either the left lower area (from main menu) or right lower area (promoted action), followed by clicking the left upper area, then typing, then either pressing Enter in the kb (the more efficient way), pressing the middle center button to parse and preview, or pressing "Save" at the extreme upper right area.

That is a LOT of finger/thumb travel and can be annoying for those using larger smartphones, especially considering how much more efficient the "Add New Task" button is. I therefore suggest making the "Add…

  20. Printing bug:
    * When using the "Outline Style" print template, it very often recursively repeats the data to print Preview (and presumably to Print too). It is quite serious and frustrating.

    • Rows/branches can appear 2 or more times depending on the tree layout and recursive nature of the tree.
    • It happens with "Current Selection", but unsure if it happens with "All tasks in view".
    • It happens regardless of whether "Expanded only" is checked or not.

    • I can assist with reproduction if needed, but it should be very easy enough to do so, possibly even with the test data.
