  1. Allow any action to be executed by configurable keyboard shortcut. All menu items, all context menu entries, all buttons, all fields, everything. This will only be fully usable if the keyboard shortcut setting screen is searchable and sortable (by key, by context [menu, context menu, ...], by description).

Setting this to "in the works" would make many other withes here obsolete.

  3. Right now we only have the choice between the paid cloud and... nothing actually. FTP isn't available on mobile devices so it's no real help because you will allways have a difference between some devices..

In the new EU using a third party cloud as sometimes a crime. For real. So we need a new, legal possibility for the cloud. It doesn't really matter what, as long as you can run it yourself. FTP, httpServer, whatever. Any possibility where no third party is involved. That also means No Google, no Dropbox.
I am using FTP on my Windows PCs to…

  4. So that we could close the Task properties and views panes and gain more space to work on and simultaneously have the Task properties pane and/or views pane on the screen, changing the positions of the floating windows or minimize them whenever is necessary.

  5. The task properties are already organized in sections to keep them more manageable. However when you have expanded a few of them the organization gets lost. It would be nice if you could enable a "solo" mode (similar to what Adobe Lightroom has) for the property sections, such that when you open one section, all other sections close. This way only one section is open at the time and you can easily switch between sections.

  6. For convenient usage of CSS in notes, MLO 5 should provide a so-called "preamble". The preamble is a user-defined list of custom CSS styles with their settings (user can edit this list). Such functionality is usually available in Markdown editors (Any person who worked with HTML/CSS/Markdown should understand what I'm talking about).

  7. It is very difficult to assign an arbitrary level of importance to a task from 0-200. It is however much easier to decide if one task is more or less important than another. I would suggest the ability to start with a graphical sort, a flat hierarchy, (a bubble sort if you will). The position in the list would assign the starting number of importance or urgency then let MLO do its magic.

    Bad: myfile.ml
    Good: C:\Users\Name\Documents\myfile.ml

  10. I have a location-based context (Home) that includes a second location-based context (My Room)-- tasks assigned with those contexts have expected behavior, using the Nearby view.

My Room ALSO includes "Has A Computer" which does not have a location. The implication is, that if I am in My Room, it is implied that a computer is available.

I can understand the strict interpretation of "Nearby" to mean only specific contexts which are nearby, but I think the more expected behavior would be to ALSO include in Nearby any context that is implied by the location-based Context.

    That is, my Nearby…

Otoh, these old eyes would be happy with the project reference font to default to black which would be much more legible.

  12. By default, MLO closes a highlighted task when one hits the space bar. The problem with this is that it is easy to accidentally close tasks. I would like an option to switch off this setting, so that the space bar does nothing (or just adds a space, but not closes a task).

  13. At the moment one can either edit notes, or show task properties in the right-hand pane. There's a button to toggle between the two, but no way (that I can find) to have both active at the same time. However this makes little sense when I have a 4K monitor. There's plenty of real estate to show both at the same time.

  14. edit button for the task name instead of clicking the text of the task name. I often have long task names and trying to highlight the task instead of editing becomes more problematic the longer the name. I highlight a task much more often than I edit the name so an edit button in the same line instead of the text that makes the name.

  15. Please add a Cost field and the ability to show the cumulative cost for a list of task, including negative costs. These could be summed up to Parent tasks, etc. The logic for this could also be used for a Time field, for resource leveling across tasks by start date.

  17. I love the "My Events" section on the iPhone, it's a great way to see your entire day in a single view. It would be great to have an option for that view to just show meetings I have "Accepted".

  18. Often a recurrent task only needs to be starred temporarily. When it's done, the task may need to recur at a later date but without the star. When a view in MLO is filtered to only show due starred tasks, the starred task is removed from view as soon as it's done, without an opportunity to remove the star, except by searching in a separate view which doesn't filter it out. This suggestion is for an option to de-star a recurrent task once it's done, in one click.

  19. The Apple Watch complication that allows entry of a new task using voice recognition is great, but there are time when speaking into the watch is not appropriate (noisy room, meeting, etc.). Allow entry of task title using same user entry interface that is used when replying to an incoming text message, as an alternative entry method.

  20. Right now there is only option to snooze reminder for given time for example 10 min or 1 day.
I wolud like to have an option which will snooze the reminder on the specific time lets say tommorow 9:00 AM. It means that every reminder which I snooze will pop up again next day at 9:00 AM
