  1. NOW THERE ARE MANY KINDS OF COLUMNS YOU CAN SEE IN A TASK
SUCH AS TOPLEVEL FOLDER, PARENT, CONTEXT, DUEDATE ETC.

I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST ALSO SUBTASK OF THE TASK AS A COLOUMN

    WHY

SUPPOSE I HAVE A NONHIERARCHIAL LIST OF ACTIONS TO DO TODAY
    AND I WANT TO KNOW
IS THERE A NEXT ACTION TO MY ACTION ( LIKE DAVID ALLEN SAID)
OR SHOULD I CREATE A NEXT ACTION

  2. The Reminders list (on the Reminders window) should be displayed similarly to a View, so that it is easy to visualise and interpret.

It needs to include things like:

    • alternating row colours --> a must-have!
    • display due dates as "-4 days" --> to eliminate the unnecessary 'overdue' text,
    • allow the user to determine the colours to display the overdue words;
      • or display minutes (or < 2 hours) in orange, hours (or < 2 days) in purple & days in red (or >= 2 days)
      • -- This is to help visualise which tasks are recently or long overdue.
    • an optional column…

  3. The current grouping & sorting has no benefit to me at all.
There needs to be a way to adjust the grouping & sorting.

Either add a new Setting to allow this or perhaps, after a user has saved a View with their preferred grouping & sorting, then allow the Reminders window to group & sort its list based on your saved View.

  4. The drop-down list has a caption "Remind again in:".
I will refer to this control as a 'ComboBox', (as it is commonly known in GUI's).

i.e. Allow some way to make the ComboBox list appear without having to click the tiny little arrow every time!
(This applies when using the mouse only. I realise there is a short-cut key (Alt+Down) when just using the keyboard.)

Why? Well, it may sound trivial at first, but when applying delays to many reminders every day and having to click the little arrow each time to see the list, it really slows down the…

  9. Provide a way to view and/or modify the current sleep duration for a task.
Eg: You might set a task to sleep for 4 days (via the "Remind Again In" field in Reminders), but then realise that is too long, but currently there is no way to change it or reset it, (without affecting all the existing values).

  10. Now we have one-way integration between Mac's reminders and MLO: Anything we put into reminders is sent to MLO (only in that direction, hence the "one-way integration), and deleted from Reminders. Reminders is not aware of anything you do with your tasks in MLO from that point on.

It would be useful to have two-way integration between Mac's Reminders and MLO, where the tasks that are completed either in Reminders or in MLO are marked as complete in the other app.

That may be a good workaround for while we wait for the MLO Mac version.

  11. Broadly speaking Wifi syncing works very well. Changes on my (Android) Phone's MLO client are reflected to my (Windows) MLO desktop client.

However, there's is an unnecessarily strict requirement, as mentioned in Android MLO > Settings > Profile > Synchronization > Wifi

Wifi syn allows you to synchronize with MLO on PC connected to the same Wifi network.

On my LAN I have a wired connection between my desktop PC and my router, and a wireless (Wifi) connection between my router and phone. There's no way to MLO sync under this configuration because of the wired connection, even though it's…

  12. Hi,
When I am using mlo I am have one top level task used as folder of my projects. I lately redesign my work and I found that the folder is growing and I need to find a way how to cope with that. The first thought I had was to use alphabetical ordering Tool->Advance->Sort subtasks. However there is not such option how to sort the task alphabetical. Further I have not found any workaround.
To: MLO – would it be possible to add such option?
To: All – have anyone came across that problem and found solution.

    Many thanks,…

  16. If user have more views than can fit into his screen, then context menu with selection of view doesn't work. Workaround is to delete some views but it is not too user friendly..

  19. I require more frequent sync than the default MLO algorithm. Because of this I use an autohotkey script to create a sync each time I quick add a task. Unfortunetly the pop-up window for sync is in progress appears and this is annyoing. Please create an option to hide it by default.

    Thank you !

  20. At present MLO forces users to work in a strictly linear mode when using the Next Action views. i.e. it only shows ONE Next Action at a time for each project.

However, according to GTD theory, if more than one Action on a Project is truly actionable right now then you should list them ALL as 'Next Actions'.

So what I am calling for to have a new field called "Force Next" (or something similar) that will in effect "force" that Action to appear in the Next Actions view even if it is not the first Action in the list…
