  1. MLO already has input parsing for task added via Rapid task entry dialog. It would be great if just the same was applied to tasks added via email.

  2. I have recently been spending time with an MLO competitor which has a feature that they call "Custom Task Attributes", which I consider to be a total game-changer.

In effect these are task fields that you can add for yourself, and name them to whatever suits you, and then have them show up everywhere as if they were standard task data fields. In the competitor application the users is allowed to add a large number (e.g. 10?) of such "Custom Task Attributes" if wanted.

Moreover you can even chose whether each new field is plain text, or is a list.…

  3. I use wifi sync in the office and in the home on my Android phone. Currently I need to recreate the wifi sync each time I change location. If there were several profiles for connection with each location, that would save some time.

  4. If you add some tiny tasks for a week - for example you add some site to directories and you want to do it a few times a week it would be nice if complete status for this task could be manually set in percent. Now complete status is available only for projects and for tiny tasks it would take too much time creating project and subtasks comparing to time you need to spend on task completing.

  5. I'm a refugee from Astrid and I'm seaching for the best replacement app. MLO has a great look and feel but there is a built-in dealbreaker.

MLO does not make use of the most widely used Android app for location based triggers - Tasker and Locale. Instead it uses a home-brewn replacement.

For a Locale/Tasker user this means to maintain the locations on two places. Which is, at least, uncomfortable and at worst a real pain in the ass.

I'm using Locale not only for showing tasks related to specific locations, but for many other things to, like changing the…

  6. Did you think about the possibility to integrate a small database in MLO for example for adress data or personal datas which are connected to a task and can be can exported to a list.

For example you create a new task. Than you have the chance to integrate serveral fields with informations. These informations are stored in a database which an exported for example to excel.

If someone has got a solution which exists today please let me know.

    Best regards

    Karl

  8. when you have many contexts, you need to group them so you can quickly choose the context you are looking for vs. choosing from a single master list with no organization.

  9. Add support for drag/dropping text into the MLO outline.

Currently the user can select text in WordPad (or in notes in MLO) and drag it to the MLO outline. MLO even shows a blue line where it will be dropped, but when they release/drop it nothing happens.

This would be a super handy feature for quickly moving text to/from MLO from notes (in TextPad, Word, etc). I personally use drag/drop to reorganize my Word document all the time.

  13. Android recurrence options are now just everyday,everyweek,2 weeks, every month, every year. I know we can set the more options in the windows version and sync with android. But it is very cumbersome. Especially when we want to modify the prior recur option we have to turn on the computer and set in windows version only. In wm version, we can set various recurring patterns just like windows version.(e.g every 2 days etc) Andorid version also need to be supplemented in recurrence options. I hope we can set the recurrence freely in next android version. Thank you!

  14. Please, when selecting dates (reminders, due dates etc) can we have a mini-calendar view in MLO Android, showing the Weekdays and dates for the current month. It could have scroll buttons to jump from month to month, or even to change year, and the ability to select a date by pressing on that day in the calendar view. Maybe it could even have a 'today' button?

    Here's why:

Currently when I set a date on my Android phone, I get a box with JUST the month, the day (in numbers only; the weekday only shows, above, for the currently selected…

  15. Give the user an option to hide task's children in todo while keeping the parent task visible in todo.

This is helpful for keeping the main task (e.g. Call Charlie) visible while constructing the "agenda" in invisible subtasks (e.g. Confirm date, Discuss idea X, etc.)

Hiding the complete branch would be achieved with a combination of Folder+Hide children.

  17. Currently the workspace "new windows" are very limited in scope. I would suggest adding support for full windows. So they would support:
    - all hot keys
    - menu items
    - filter pane
    - detail pane

  18. Imagine you hava a context of "Shopping" and you assign all of your shopping errands to it. Then you have 3 contexts like "Shop1", "Shop2", "Shop3". You would like to able to assign your task only to 1 context ("shopping") but it should trigger at every shop the context includes.

  19. Currently some strings in a Notes field are automatically recognized and made clickable (eg, a web address is converted to a clickable hyperlink). Other strings require being prepended with "file:" in order to turn them into a hyperlink. A common example is local links to specific Evernote Notes, which have the format of "evernote:///view/......". Another example is Thunderlink: "thunderlink://messageid=......".

I propose that MLO for Desktop, and also for Android (and iPhone), add the ability for users to define strings (or protocols) to be matched in the Notes field and then treated as hyperlinks. Additionally it would probably be good to…
