  2. Custom views allow us great precision in seeing our data. For those of us who are using custom views, the 'canned' views available on the android and iphone are near-useless in comparison. Instead of many possible views on the android screen, none of which are very useful, how much more functional it would be to be able to import custom views via the cloud, and choose which views we would like displayed on the android or iphone main screen.

  3. The iPad is ideal for this, especially now what I can sync using the MLO Cloud, and it would be great to have an app making most use of the iPad - not just an iPhone app.

  5. When our outline gets unbeareable, we need tools to be able to filter by context (useful when tracking other's responsabilities and wanting to bind those to a project)

  6. Create user specific email addresses like Evernote does. Use cloud file as part of email address. Monitor incoming email. Parse subject same way as fast entry dialog. Stick body of email in the notes.

  7. I pulled up the first request from Dmitry_N rather than searching all of the MLO requests.

    <quote>
    Example:
    Task1: Goods need to be shipped on 27 February.
    Task2: Payment needs to be done within 90 days after goods have been
    shipped.

    Now I have to set the date for Task 2 manually. It would be a dream come true if this could be done automatically!
    </quote>

    This opens up the possibility of creating dynamic templates.

  8. This has been requested in the forum and I think is needed. Many times a task requires relevant data to be stored in the notes. I do not feel confident without at least a file level password with some level of encryption. I do not want the data completely open.

  9. Without built-in support for a review process, some items stagnate, using views and filters in MLO to carry out a review can be a complex and frustrating undertaking, and that you don't know what has been reviewed and what hasn't.

    The review process would be similar to adding reminders, but not intrusive. After talking to a friend who uses OmniFocus, this is the review process I have in mind:

    1. A new "review" view would be added to the app.
    2. When you add/process a new task, you set a review frequency (similar to setting up a recurring task--e.g., "second Monday of…

  10. At the moment, I find the move function virutally useless because it is impossible to see and edit the task in context of where you have moved to without losing your place in your inbox (which is where you are normally moving the tasks from).

  12. Most of my tasks have names like 'update' or 'reply', they are useless without the caption of their parent task. Switching back and forth to the outline view is not practical.

  13. MLO 4.0 has implemented a tabbed view and includes a command to set a particular view as default for a tab. Once the default is set, the user can quickly and easily reset the workspace back to the default view. The release did not implement view locking, which would allow the user to say that this workspace should never change its view, and ask MLO to prevent it from changing.

    Why do we need a lock if we already have the default? Even if you want a tab to remain unchanged, it is very easy to change it by mistake…

  14. In the ToDo view you only see the actual task, but some times this task can be "Write the Document". Would be nice to know whats the parent of this task.
    I suggest a configuration to be able to see the ToDo in a tree view that show the active task and its parent(s)

  15. I need a mechanism that allow me to set up date of the subtask completion relative to the previous subtask completion actual date. So if I move the subtask to the next day (or next week, next month, etc), subsequent subtasks should automatically shift the same period.

  16. Current app is build obviously for phones and despite the android feature to adapt the app to the screen size, it is not very usable. I would suggest adapting the app' to use all the available screen size (design of the ipad version seems quite nice)

    Thanks

  17. Add a "Search" feature to the iPhone app, similar to the Search feature in the Desktop app.

  18. One of the great strenghts of MLO is the ability to capture the whole structure of a project an/or of an area of life showing all the nested levels down to the very last active task. This feature is also implemented in the PPC version.

    However, this is totally missing in the Iphone version. You can see at the same time only the same level tasks, but not the subtasks, nor the previous level tasks. if you have 4-5 levels or more, the more you go further down along one tree, the more easily you get lost.

    I understand that…

  19. Having the ability to color/hightlight tasks, and/or change font colors per taks, would allow us to easily find tasks or groups of task. For example, you could visually show task priority based on color.

  20. This is a disaster recovery feature only. I don't care if other versions of MLO can read the file or not.
