Due Date Based on Completion Date of Other Task + XX Days
I pulled up the first request from Dmitry_N rather than searching all of the MLO requests.
<quote>
Example:
Task1: Goods need to be shipped on 27 February.
Task2: Payment needs to be done within 90 days after goods have been
shipped.
Now I have to set the date for Task 2 manually. It would be a dream come true if this could be done automatically!

This opens up the possibility of creating dynamic templates.
Implemented as Delayed Dependency in MLO v.4.x

I recently installed MLO. I'm on v4.3.2 and discovered this feature. Very nice indeed! I'm already using it.

Any news about this feature?

"Repeat after n days" option already exists in recurrence panel.
It can be used to shift the same task, but not another one.As a tricky combination, one can set a "fictitious" task which is to be repeated in xx days. One you "receive goods" you check off "the payments" which will resurface exactly in 90 days again!

... and by extension, "repeat after n" days/weeks/months, etc.
e.g. my dog needs to be wormed every three months. In an ideal world I would actually do it on the due date, but in real life, it's time to do it again three months after I last did it, not three months after I SHOULD have done it ;-). -

+ xx days,
or - xx days
If you move the parent task, it moves all the related tasks on the calender. This is EXACTLY what I am looking for!

I concur with this. I submitted a similar request based on the fact it would enable the ability to use templates for complex event planning. My input is here: http://groups.google.com/group/mylifeorganized/browse_thread/thread/bb56c5b3f2fe60f3/d6623f8c4ece6e95?lnk=gst&q=copy+template+days#d6623f8c4ece6e95

So many of my task due dates are driven by dependencies on other items that this means of managing due dates would save me huge amounts of time setting up workarounds. I do something similar to Dwight, but it does take time to manage it.

This would be the KILLER MLO feature for me.

I handle this kind of situation by creating three tasks:
Task1:Ship goods, due 27 Feb
Task2:Wait, lead time=76 days (=90-14), resource=@wait, dependency=ship goods
Task3:Do payment, lead time 2 weeks, dependency =waitMost of my task views are filtered to exclude resource @wait, and part of my daily review is to complete any @wait task that's due. The workaround works but this would sure make it easier.

A reminder could also be based on the completion of a task. E.X. Task: "Upgrade MLO" Reminder: 9am Next day after "Deposit Paycheck"
