*not* Calendar View
A vote here is a vote against calendar view functionality. Although a mockup exists, there's no evidence yet of any consensus on what needs to be built. Once the development resources engage on this functionality they will be committed to huge efforts to mollify the people who will believe that the wrong functionality was implemented.

I remain in the dark as to why people want a calendar view at all. Surely the whole point of a GTD approach, or even just the calculated score that makes MLO unique, is that it works out what the next priority is based on the information you give it. You then just need to do these tasks in order.
Putting some task to be done on Friday is just wishful thinking, it doesn't mean it will happen on Friday, other things will get in the way, the tasks set for Wednesday and Thursday will take longer (or less time) than you thought, and in no time your idealised plan for Friday is redundant.
I think, if the people wanting to see how their week might pan out really thought about it, what they really need is something more like the 'Total effort required' suggestions (already here but with far less votes), just to see if they're going to meet their deadlines, or how much they might get done by Friday.
My concern is that a calendar will get implemented (after all it has a lot of votes), but a total workload calculation will not. That will leave anyone wanting to use MLO for planning having to manually add a whole load of tasks to a completely fictitious 'weekly plan' just to see if it might be possible, when all that's really required is to add up the hours. -

I doubt there'll be much effort wasted on mollification :-) Andrey rarely goes back and changes a chosen feature design even after decent uproar (eg. new MLO4 Google Style white view, counter-Style Guide design of iPhone App, etc). ;-)

I agree "somewhat"... However I would like to be able to See "Todays Tasks" at least in the form of a Filter (maybe even there now... but I have not seen it yet).

I agree on having a Google Calendar interface. Read-only from Google would be sufficient, but clicking on a task taking you to the task in MLO would be a nice touch.

Maybe adding the option to sync with Google Calendar (and/or other calendars) would be easier and give a better simpler experience.

Hi, I'm removing my vote against calendar view because I believe that the functionality described by Mary and others (how overcommitted am I next week) is not overly complex (expecially if total-available-resource is based on open hours per category), is implementable and would have value.
