Task Notes - rich text editing
Simple ... just let me have some decent text formatting tools. Maybe embed a simple RTF editor.

Markdown added to MLO on Windows in version 5. You can use Markdown to format text and to insert pictures.
Plans: improve Markdown to add formatting toolbar and implement Markdown on mobile. -

This suggestion and the link should really be combined

Dwight, I don't see a place or means to put a picture but can send one if you would like. My guess would be that the interpretation by MLO is some form of tab delimited, which would make some sense as to the result.

On further testing it appears that there is some sort of tab like character that is set in rows. If I add something to one of the cells it pushes the rest over and if I delete it can delete the space (tab) the cell occupied. Basically it acts as a tab.
I have just started using MLO but tend to do odd things. I was a great software tester. If I copy and paste a 4R 3C table, I get 4 rows of 3 tabs. I can arrow between the different tabs(cells). They do not take on the spacing of the cells but always appear to be 8 characters wide.
It's a little cumbersome but I'm already using it for data in the notes section.
I'm an ME and biologist so not great in programing. I have copied and pasted cells from libre office emulating a .xlsx spreadsheet. You can't have anything in the cells or it fails. -

Mr. E, I am very interested in your comment that you are able to paste an empty table into a task note and add the cell content later. I am unable to do that. If I create an empty table with three columns and four rows, copy it and paste it into a task note, I get 12 blank rows. How do you do it?

I am hoping to use this as project notebook. I guess this is outside the design but all the features work well for that. The notes section becomes important, more so than the difference between .2 and .4 seconds to switch screens or what would reduce the speed. Would it be possible to have this as a plugin? I'm not even as interested in bold or colors but possibly a table. It is strange as I can paste a table in and the cells exist, unless there is something in the cells when pasting. If I paste the table and then input data it does just fine. I can't see any lines but can live with that.

The 3 most important features are: 1. Speed, 2. Speed and 3. Speed.
RTF would be number 4. -

Can we please combine these votes with the same request titled ´Bring notes field to the next level´? That would show the real importance of the need for this functional improvement, moving it up to almost the top of the list I think.

"slowdown of the program due to RTF feature" What ? Wow time to upgrade your Pentium III

I'm really surprised a program called "My Life Organized" is not a fully featured organizer to organize my whole life, including rich text notes (and other common features of organizer software, like a calendar and databases for contacts, passwords, etc.). I will still use MLO, as it is the only program I've found which syncs between my PC and iPod Touch without a cloud service. Unfortunately for organizing my life beyond tasks and projects will have to be done with additional software, for now.

What about the increase size of the data file and the slowdown of the program due to RTF feature? I know RTF edit features are good but I also like speed. That is why I will not vote for RTF.

I would also suggest to provide a date/time stamp button for easily documenting time within notes

I voted for both this and http://mlo.uservoice.com/forums/9235-general/suggestions/1044987-bring-notes-field-to-the-next-level since this is the main part of the feature I am interested in.

Yes please. This would be a huge help to me as I use MLO for extensive notes on projects and the ability to bold and add bullets would be a huge help to keep things visually organized.
