Outlook Sync: Treat emails with Follow Up flag as tasks for MLO
Dear MLO developers,
I’m using your product during several months and very happy by its convenience and robustness. Thank you for such big contribution in PIM solutions!
Now I miss the only one feature that is quite important for me, as my approach to tasks arrangement was settled with years. I’m trying to find an automatic way to convert emails with “Follow Up” flag to MLO tasks during synchronization with MS Outlook. I’m also interested in synchronization of the state of this flag during backward synchronization to Outlook.
As I have programmer’s background I could try to do it myself and share then my results with you. The only thing that I need is your recommendation about writing plugins for MLO Desktop (Win).
I’m also thinking about workaround – plugin to Outlook that will create tasks as soon as email marked to Follow Up, and then will maintain state synchronization of this pair (emal/task), but this approach looks a bit ugly, so I’d prefer to try to tune MLO first.
Hope to hear from your soon,
Sincerely yours,
Dmitriy Russov

Dear Developers
I'm very impressed with the system. As someone who has to use Outlook Exchange at work to manage a team, I have been looking for a way of managing the hundreds of todos for years, but have never found one as comprehensive and logical as MLO. However the ability to turn a Follow Up Email into something which syncs with MLO would seem to me to be an obvious function. Such an item appears in my Outlook as a task, as it should. Why shouldn't it sync? Right now I have to drag such items from Outlook to MLO because I cannot leave them out of my MLO tasks. MLO must be comprehensive - that is its purpose.
Cheers
Alan
