Outlook Sync: Treat emails with Follow Up flag as tasks for MLO
Dear MLO developers,
I’m using your product during several months and very happy by its convenience and robustness. Thank you for such big contribution in PIM solutions!
Now I miss the only one feature that is quite important for me, as my approach to tasks arrangement was settled with years. I’m trying to find an automatic way to convert emails with “Follow Up” flag to MLO tasks during synchronization with MS Outlook. I’m also interested in synchronization of the state of this flag during backward synchronization to Outlook.
As I have programmer’s background I could try to do it myself…

Calculate time-remaining for tree (remaining time min, max)
When you make an item a project, you get "time required for the project" min+max. When subtasks are completed, these numbers do not change.
(a) It would be useful to have total time remaining for the project. Halfway through a project, the total time is not really useful - the time remaining is (arguably) the only important statistic.
(b) It would be nice to be able to show these values for a group of tasks.
(c) It would be useful to have these fields appear in the column list.
Specifically, under the "effort" pane, add a calculated field "total time…

Timers
It is very useful to know, how much time do you spend with some task or working on the project. It would be great if we could measure this time by timers, for example like in Toodledo.

MLO web interface/webapp
MLO can sync to the web, but there should also be a web interface for adding items. Moving forward, this would potentially allow MLO to integrate with Google Apps/Gmail/Google Docs for attachments, and would require less maintenance in the long run because the Mac and Windows desktop versions would be made obsolete.

Encrypt on desktop/phone before cloud
Just like Lastpass. I won't subscribe to your service till it does this. My data needs to be encrypted on my desktop/phone with AES before syncing to your cloud service. That way only I have access to my data. You will get hacked eventually, your cloud service is a treasure trove of identity theft data. Anyway, why do you need to see my data? Only I should have access to it after all.

Attach files to tasks
Many competing to-do managers allow attaching external files to individual to-do items. It would be very useful to do this in MLO, and be able to open such attachments by double-clicking. (Attachment icons could be displayed in the sidebar).
Im using MLO to track planned features and bugs in my software projects. I'd obviously find it highly useful to attach screenshots, log reports etc.

Support Google Mail (gmail) for Reminders "send email to:"
At the moment, I can't have reminders sent to my gmail address.
This is because gmail requires TLS protocol support which MLO does not support today (March 2013).
Please add gmail support, thanks!22 votes -
Attach Photos (on mobile devices, but sync to desktop)
After a meeting there are several ToDos and perhaps lots of information on the flipchart or whiteboard. Would like to take photos of those notes and sync it to desktop MLO.

Add background Auto sync for Android
Although I could manage autosync for my Windows desktop with scheduled tasks, I should still press "Sync" button in Android app.
It drives me mad, because all other Android apps autosync in background.20 votes -
Windows: Change subtask creation order.
Configure if new subtask will be @ top or @ botton of list. Also sorting by date, a-z etc. would be nice.

Android: remove task from inbox after processing
When I set the context (or any other field, such as due date or project) for a task in the inbox, it should be removed from the inbox and made active.

Android: Add new task - Lock screen widget (on Jelly Bean 4.2)
For GTD it is crucial to work with MLO very quickly.
Adding a lock screen widget for entering new tasks but possibly not viewing existing tasks would keep all confidential data secure in the app.
This would save a lot of users a lot of time unlocking; and even more the need to enter a password if the phone is encrypted.
Please vote for it :)
Thank you,

More sophisticated handling of dependencies
At present, indicating dependencies seems to only hide dependent items from the to-do view, without taking into account the urgency, importance, etc. of the dependent item.
It's possible to work around this, but there should be an option to make a dependency behave like a parent-child relationship so that dependent items are ranked correctly in the to-do list.

*not* Calendar View
A vote here is a vote against calendar view functionality. Although a mockup exists, there's no evidence yet of any consensus on what needs to be built. Once the development resources engage on this functionality they will be committed to huge efforts to mollify the people who will believe that the wrong functionality was implemented.

Android: WiFi sync every so many minutes
Currently the only automated sync is Cloud based which will keep your changes synchronized. We need the WiFi sync to also be automated so we don't have to manually click the sync every time we want our change to be synchronized

Add time tracking and provide a time summary/report per task
Have a option to not only have a baseline time er task but an additional area where you can list the actual time a resource took for a particular task, or tasks. So that you can see if you are over or under budget.
