  1. Example:
I ride the subway every morning and evening. In the morning I read a book. In the evening I listen to educational podcasts. So, I want to have a context "underground" open all day, the context of the "morning" open in the morning, and the context of "evening" open in the evening, assigned to appropriate tasks and prominent in the list of "To-Do" in the appropriate open time. Now, if the context of "underground" is open all day, the task is in the To-Do list all day, despite its other closed contexts.

  2. Some formatting options are available directly in the sidebar; to reach others I hav to click "More" and go through three different tabs. Formatting tasks this way is (a) slow and (b) makes it hard to achieve consistency. Styles would be a nice addition: named sets of formatting properties that could be applied with one or two clicks.

  3. Did you think about the possibility to integrate a small database in MLO for example for adress data or personal datas which are connected to a task and can be can exported to a list.

For example you create a new task. Than you have the chance to integrate serveral fields with informations. These informations are stored in a database which an exported for example to excel.

If someone has got a solution which exists today please let me know.

    Best regards

    Karl

  4. Even if you have List View Display Mode set to Full View, the task text gets truncated to two lines. The individual task should instead expand vertically to always show the full title. By implementing variable-height tasks you can also make single line tasks shorter and not have all the empty vertical space. See MobisleNotes (note the spelling) in the Android Market for an example of how this is done.

This should apply to the task properties screen as well. The text field should expand instead of being limited to showing two lines at a time.

    Clipping the title reduces…

  5. Would be nice to be able to add more data fields, eg. having a box where i could add a quantity, which then would be added up in the parent view of the folder structure.
I´m a freelancer and would like to use MLO also to organize my jobs and also add what I earned with each job. Great would also be the option to import a link to map or contact or email in each entry! Would be a shame if such a nice and elaborate folder structure leaves only a text and date field to fill out!!

  6. The most common thing I do is change the due date or context of a task. Right now, I have to press-and-hold, select "edit task", then scroll around to find date and context to make the change.

It would be great if "Due Date" and "Context" were listed in the press-and-hold menu for tasks.

  8. -- There is a "Share" option for individual tasks, but the only data
passed are the Start Date, Due Date and Notes. I'd prefer that it pass
along all the data one sees when viewing the Task Info screen.

-- I cannot find a way to "Share" a list of tasks. Any of the list
views would benefit from having an option to "Share" the list with
other programs -- and hence, to easily e-mail or print the whole list.

  9. It's not possible to have WiFi at all locations especially at work and the cloud site is sometimes blocked as well. The android version should have an export to file option (configure once and then a single tap should export) and similarly an import option. The desktop version can then be used to sync between the two files and then imported into Android.

  10. iPhone 4S allows entry of notes, e-mail text, twitter status via clicking the little microphone button on the virtual keyboard.

Doing this within MLO does nothing today - it looks like this function is not enabled.

I can do this in other iPhone Apps - e.g. the notes app and the e-mail applcation, but not MLO.

Can you enable this for MLO?

  11. With iOS versions of MLO, it's very easy to move a task to another node in the tree using the "Parent" option

AFAIK, Android and Blackberry versions of MLO lack this feature. The have a "move" option but does only allows to move to nodes nearby.

This feature is a must when classifying tasks from Inbox into their respective branches within the tree.

I really would like to buy both Android Pro and Blackberry versions if this feature was enabled.

  12. I searched this board and saw similar feature requests back as early
as 2006. I think it would still be a good idea to implement and would
certainly make my working with MLO a lot smoother and more efficient.
As an example, let's say I have a list of Daily tasks. One of those
Tasks is brushing my teeth. If I didn't brush my teeth yesterday,
there's really no point for the task to stick around. The 'skip
occurrence' of course is a manual resolution to that, but if I have a
large number of tasks that are like this,…

  14. I like task recurrence, but tasks non't recur until completed.

Task recurrence should create new tasks according to schedule, but independent of previous tasks completion.

This feature naturally require new names to be created based on some pattern (like current day, month, week etc.)

  15. If you play a rewarding sound whenever a task is completed it will trigger a good feeling after finishing each task. This will encourage people to finish more tasks and that will make this app more useful and effective. You could use a different sound for adding new tasks.

An option page with custom sound to play would be also great.

If you want to create a habit of completing more tasks please vote up this idea.

  16. I have a ton of tasks and use Toggl to increase my focus by tracking whatever I do at the moment - whether it is personal or professional. I would like to be able to sync the task details with MLO which is my main task / project management software, so I can actually review how much time I spent on the tasks.

  17. The "Zoom Out" feature zooms out to root level, instead of one level above. I use MLO as both as an Outliner and Task Manager, which means I have items that are nested many levels deep. I currently use Workflowy for deeply nested outlines, since that can easily Zoom Out to one level above. If MLO had this feature then I won't need to use Workflowy. The workaround on the desktop MLO is to select the parent node in the address bar, then Zoom-In, but this isn't as easy as using a single keyboard shortcut.

  18. Click on task's importance then 'CTRL+UPARROW' to increase Task importance.
Click on task's importance then 'CTRL+DOWNARROW' to decrease Task importance.
    Same idea for task urgency.

    In Properties :
Click on Importance cursor then Mousewheel to increase or decrease task importance
Click on Urgency cursor then Mousewheel to increase or decrease task urgency

    Still in Properties :
Add the possibility to enter manually a specified value in Importance and Urgency field.

  20. At the moment you can only set recurring events on dates, like the 1st of every month, ect. With the On Completion option ticked you will still set recurring timeframe, let us say 4 weeks, but now the recurring task will be set to 4 weeks from the DATE OF COMPLETION of the last task. Example: Lets say you want to be reminded to cut your hair every 10 days and you set a recurring reminder with On Completion option chosen. Now the task will apear in the next action list, but let us say that for some reason you…
