An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedHi, Mr. E - I understand that you want a button to put the task caption into edit more because the current method, clicking the caption, makes it too difficult to select and hioghlight the task caption without unintentionally initiating edit mode. Question: have you tried highlighting the caption as follows: (1) find the task caption at the top of the right sidebar (2) right-click anywhere on the text of the caption, in order to raise a context menu (3) from the context menu, slicvk on "select all"
This should highlight the caption in a fast and straightforward procedure. Having seen this, do you still need the button?

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedMurry: check out the Today view now available on MLO for Android or Apple but not yet for Windows
-DwightAn error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedI wish that I could use one of my votes to vote against this idea. The "items due in the next 10 days" view gives me the information I need. I have had trouble with calendar views of tasks in the past because every day gets the same sized box. Some days are empty while others (like the last day of every quarter) have many times over too many tasks to fit.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedRoberto, I would have a problem with what you are proposing because it makes the linkage between Evernote and MLO specific to Windows. Suppose I create a note on Evernote on Windows and then create a task on MLO on Windows that's linked to the Evernote. Evernote is going to promptly replicate the note to the copy of Evernote on my phone, and MLO is going to promptly replicate the task to the copy of MLO on my phone, and there in the task is going to be a linkl but the link isnt going to do anything. If I want to see the linked note I am either going to have to guess and do trial-and-error until I find it, or I'm going to have to run home and do it on my desktop. It would be easier for me to accept this if Evernote did not have a solution but they do! the HTML link, which works perfectly well whether clicked in MLO from Windows or Android. This solution is not for confidential information but hey, so few solutions these days offer reasonable privacy. . . .

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commented"Doesn't MLO have this already?" - MLO displays weighted importance and urgency scores in the "task statistics" window but not the other components of "computed score".
"algorithms in the manual" - yes they are explained but it can be quite challenging to figure out how that applies to a particular task, particularly when it's deep in a hierarchy.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedHi, I'm removing my vote against calendar view because I believe that the functionality described by Mary and others (how overcommitted am I next week) is not overly complex (expecially if total-available-resource is based on open hours per category), is implementable and would have value.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedOn Blackberry with MLO installed, the menu for an email message (or SMS/MMS message) has an added command "create MLO task". If you hit this command a new task is creates with task name copied from email subject. The body of the message is *not* copied to the new message. Where the subject is "Urgent" or "I need your help" the actual task becomed lost.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedBlackberry users often have spreadsheets, websites etc open during a call. If you open MLO then minimize it, you also hang up on your caller, which can be a real problem especially if you do it repeatedly to the same caller.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedAre you talking about WEEKDAYS or really working days? An actual working days calculation requires a holiday calender with thousands of national, regional, provincial, and even ethnic and religious dates, and a process whereby the user can elect which of these categories apply. I have some experience with this in international banking, where huge amounts of effort go into getting it right, accommodating surprise holidays when some head-of-state dies, and holidays that move because the new moon wasn't sighted when expected due to cloudy skies. It's all about Herstatt risk (look it up). Anyhow, I think you should ask for weekdays instead.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedCurrently, when recurrence is set MLO forces the creation of -both- a start date and a due date. I *think* that the requirement proposed by ArtemS would entail not only recurrence based on start date, but also the possibility of having a recurring task with no due date.

Add Themes and Formatting settings + custom hotkeys to MLO data file NOT General Application Options
16 votesAn error occurred while saving the comment Dwight commentedI'm bothered by the differences in default hotkeys between blackberry and desktop. For example, Search is "U" on blackberry and "CtrlF" on desktop. Why not "U" and "CtrlU" or, maybe "F" and "CtrlF"? I would plot it all out and set custom hotkeys on both sides to bring some consistency but I'm afraid of wasting my time. I haven't been an MLO user long enough to know how well my customizations will be preserved across future upgrades. I've got scars to show from previous experiences where I create highly customized interfaces to software I use constantly only to have it all vanish in an upgrade. If the customizations were in my data file I would be more confident that they would be preserved.
Mr. E, I am very interested in your comment that you are able to paste an empty table into a task note and add the cell content later. I am unable to do that. If I create an empty table with three columns and four rows, copy it and paste it into a task note, I get 12 blank rows. How do you do it?
