this is a great idea and something I have been looking for. Seeing start/end dates thus duration on a timeline is invaluable for planning and managing tasks. Show subtasks and the relationship is even more valuable. This may seem like moving the program to more of a project planning paradigm, and it is to a certain extent. Task management is project planning. However, not all the bells/whistles of MPP program is needed. In the interim of getting a gantt in MLO, an alternative approach is to mess with the current 'xml' export file to dump into MPP but prefer a view inside MLO.
