Allow % completion for each task
Very often a task is started but not yet finished. If it takes a lot of time/resources, it could stay in "working" status for long time and maybe we need to know how much close to the end it is. The more complex, the more % completion is important.
% completion is only calculated on Project level. It is easy to convert task to project and back.

I think if you start splitting tasks instead of the simplicity of being able to designate them as being some percent complete, the program just becomes cumbersome for some types of tasks. For example, if I set up a task to, say, catalog all my DVD/Blu-Ray movies, I wouldn't want to make each movie a separate task! If I have 100 movies and I have done 20 of them today, it would make more sense (to me) to be able to show that task as 20% complete, rather than having to check off 20 subtasks in a list of 100 subtasks.
I suppose one could make that a project instead of a task, but one would still have to list each movie as a separate task in order to have an accurate completion percentage for the project. -

But still, an option for us who would like to have a percentage completion would be nice.

Just a quick counter point. If your tasks aren't getting to done at the end of everyday then they're too big. Split them. My programming career has taught me that when something is 90% done - 50% of the effort remains. Tasks are either done or not done.

I agree. In fact, I came to this site only to add this suggestion. Even when the task takes 1 day, if it is complex, a percentage is needed at task level and not only for projects.
