  1. I've had to re establish this idea, as it was marked as 'implemented' by delayed dependency. IT was not. Delayed dependency sets the start date. What was asked for here was a way to set the due date based on the completions date. This is a totally different thing. Due dates have a huge impact on calculated scores and so they are what really need to be set. as in the example in the original post, an invoice is 'due' 30 days after the work's completed, not to be started 30 days after the works completed. The original post got…

  2. I'd suggest to add the future to modify a task via a dilog. Very ofther it is more efficient to modify all the task's attrubutes in a single dedicated dialog rather then wondering between lists of tasks and side-bar menu with properties..
It has been done already for Android platrorm, why don't make it for the Desktop app as well?

  3. With the option to ask about what to do with contexts when moving tasks to other Parents, so far I can only find a way to completely overwrite the existing Contexts (or not change them at all).

This is not handy because subtasks often have many additional contexts added, eg. a particular person related to a single task, and I do not want to loose that information.
Is there maybe still a way to do this that I do not know about?

What would even be better (but less necessary for me) is if we could select what contexts NOT…

  4. For work I have to use the company's task manager. I can import tasks if they are in .csv format so I would also be able to see my MLO tasks. Having to reference two task lists during the day is counterproductive so this would be a much appreciated feature.

  5. Manually creating a new task or project is more challenging on mobile platforms, why not allow users to duplicate a task and its subtasks?

This is very powerful for project creation!

    Thank you!

  6. Flags are very useful, but they currently can't be added / modified in (at least the Android) app.

That limits an otherwise great feature.

Please consider adding the ability to modify flags in the mobile app.

It seems like a (relatively) simple feature to implement with a high pay off in usefulness.

    Thank you.-

  7. I would like to be able to archive individual completed tasks on-demand. Sometimes they contain important information, but clutter up my screens. Additionally, I want some completed tasks to stay in view while others get archived instead of deleted.

  8. So that we could close the Task properties and views panes and gain more space to work on and simultaneously have the Task properties pane and/or views pane on the screen, changing the positions of the floating windows or minimize them whenever is necessary.

  9. This would introduce a 'flow' to linked tasks similar to MS Project in that the start date/time of the dependent Next Action is automatically calculated by way of the current task Due Date plus Dependency Delay or because it is in a sequence of 'Complete in Order'. Having a way of turning this OFF for some tasks via a tick box prevents a universal updating which may not be helpful.

As a slight enhancement to this, another suggestion is to use the 'Effort' Min/Max time to remove 'float' from any sequence of activities by reducing the time between Start Date…

  10. Some ideas are:

    • allow the user to specify the list of delay items to display in the drop-down list (specify this list via Settings). (The current list is very inadequate.)
    • provide about 4 to 6 fast access buttons beneath the comboBox for either:
      • the most commonly used delays,
      • or for user-defined delays (specify via Settings) - this is my preference.

  11. Some suggestion to improve MLO userfriendliness.
    1. It would be nice to have the filter settings available in a tab in the manage
    2. When adding a new task, it would be nice to be able to ‘link’ it to a project or a folder directly from the properties section. So without drag and drop.
    3. It would be nice if recurring task only can set (and reset) a starting date without he need for a due date

  12. Once you "zoom in" and try "zoom-out", you will go back to the ROOT level which is not logical and makes things messy.
This is really important for me and I think it should be very easy for developers to fix.
One of the main reasons why I switched to MLO from another software I used for years was zoom in option because I have many levels in depth and like to focus using zoom in.
But zoom out to root really makes things messy without any logic.
I would highly appreciate MLO fix this. Thanks

  13. On Blackberry, "minimize" is done by hitting the "hangup" button which unfortunately also terminates the current voice call. Please provide a "minimize" entry in the hotkey/shortcut settings that would not hang up.

  15. Actually, you have to use the mouse to "Star" a Task.

Also, why doesn't the Star shows in the Properties Pane, why only in the Outline/To-Do pane?

  16. In MLO desktop I always work from the todo view by date and then by context. Please add it to Android as well. Filtering contexts one by one does not work in practice.

  17. I group tasks in outline by setting subtasks under a "heading" task and often don't want most of those subtasks showing up in my todolist but do want a few to. It would be nice if they could appear simply when a due date is added - that would override the main task setting for those particular subtasks

  20. add red number upon the app icon in iphone version. The I can know how many things I should do today. The number of such things: has start time or end time and today can do it.
