Password protection of MLO files
This has been requested in the forum and I think is needed. Many times a task requires relevant data to be stored in the notes. I do not feel confident without at least a file level password with some level of encryption. I do not want the data completely open.

Dear MLO team, thank your for implementing the encryption feature. Which algorithm is used to encrypt the MLO files in MLO 4?

FYI: encryption was implemented in MLO v4.

@Thomas: For Android, move MLO to the internal memory, disable USB debugging, and use a screen lock with PIN code or password entry.
This handles even professional attacks, eg. if you're a prostitution pimp and your phone is in the hands of the FBI:http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2012/03/fbi-android-phone-lock/

On a PC, drive level encryption works fine. But for mobile devices which usually don't offer encryption (and maybe for portability with USB drives), a file level encryption would be very useful. As I understand it, *.ml-files are ZIP-files, so maybe the the zip password mechanism could be an implementation option.

I'm confused on a PC what stops you using drive level encryption? I.E. BitLocker or TrueCrypt?

The ability to protect my info would allow me to include sensitive info that I now am reluctant to include in MLO. The application would be much more useful.

The same goes for MLO files on Android devices. If you loose your cellphone or it will get stolen with an open MLO data file with confidential notes or login data that would be a great mess...
