Forecast = Filter all tasks (including inactive) and sort by date on iOS
I want to look ahead for annual tasks and due dates that are coming up in the next 3 months. In my case I have marked these with a context indicating they are task that need to be listed on a planning horizon.
Currently:
If I use "All Tasks" - it only presents in outline mode.If I use Active Actions - it does not include any tasks that are not active (todo button in All Tasks just switches to "active actions")
If I use "Goals" on these items, I cannot sort by date order.
Even if I could just…

Location based reminder
Imagine that, you want to buy a new chair, but it is not urgent, so you want to do it on your way home from visting your friend. What about This? When you drive nearby IKEA, the reminder pop up with the task "buy a chair in IKEA". Isn't that amazing?!

Need to be able to expand and collapse folders in the main screen without having to go to a new screen at each level.

Android: add completion in widget itself
hi i want to be able to tick things off from the widget itself .. not open mlo to tick something complete ... especially for shopping lists and things like that .. also pls try for selecting any part of the outline for widget view ... v. imp for putting different widgets in different views ... would be gr8 when working on a complicated project

Non Task items
In real life, not all events are tasks. For example at a meeting, we record resolutions taken as well as tasks.
I suggest the introduction of Outline Items, sub-items which are NOT Tasks, but text & do not affect, nor appear in the To-Do pane. These Text items can be a main item, the sub of a Task or the sub of another text item. Text items can be converted to Task & vice-versa.In this way, at meetings we do not have to switch between MLO for Tasks & to another application for note taking. MLO will do both.

iPhone: data file encryption
Please encrypt and password-protect the MLO datafile on iPhone so, even if the iPhone is lost noone is able to access my data.

Windows: ToDo view with option to view parent task(s)
In the ToDo view you only see the actual task, but some times this task can be "Write the Document". Would be nice to know whats the parent of this task.
I suggest a configuration to be able to see the ToDo in a tree view that show the active task and its parent(s)20 votes -

sync conflicts: allow per-item choice on which outline wins
Currently for "both sides changed item" we can only choose whether smartphone-side or PC-side outline wins. Please allow third choice "ask me for every item which side win".
I often start adding notes to an item on one platform, then switch to another and add more thoughts on the same item. Allowing to choose which side should win on an item-per-item basis could help me. Allowing to copy-paste from two pre-sync item names/notes would be even more helpful.

Search in "Move To" Dialog or Drag n Drop to Search Panel from Ourline Tab
Now when you need to move task for example from <inbox> to some parent task in the end of list you must search it manually in Move To dialog

Android: Add parent to task view
Most of my tasks have names like 'update' or 'reply', they are useless without the caption of their parent task. Switching back and forth to the outline view is not practical.

Password protection of MLO files
This has been requested in the forum and I think is needed. Many times a task requires relevant data to be stored in the notes. I do not feel confident without at least a file level password with some level of encryption. I do not want the data completely open.

Conditional formatting
There is grate option to format tsaks. But it is more convenient to setup condition for task formatting. For example gray background for tasks which have some context (e.g. deligated). Or highlight tasks which flagged as important.

Scroll wheel "Task Notes" & "Properties"
It would make the desktop experience MUCH easier if the "Task Notes" and "Properties" panes registered scrolls with the mouse wheel. The rest of the program seems (e.g. Outline view).

Rapid Task Entry and Parsing in MLO iPhone
Just like the Rapid Task Entry box in the Windows version, it'd be great to have an option to enter tasks that way on the iPhone version. Just type them in, new lines make a new task, adding a space in front makes it a child task to the one above it, the ability to have the context, importance, all that parsed out of the text you type, the whole thing. I'd be a boon.
