  1. Currently if I create a New Task on Android via the New Task Widget the Task shows up in MLO at the Bottom of the Inbox list. I would like there to be an option/setting (for Android and also for Windows) that newly created Tasks (from places like the Android Widget or the Rapid Task Entry Box) would be added to the Top of the Inbox (and similar Views, such as Active Starred), instead of the bottom. Someone else actually asked for this general idea back in July 2015:

For me, being able to have the Tasks get added…

  3. Organize the suggestion box to logical categories, folders, tags to make it easier to see if the idea or something similar is there to avoid suggesting things that are similar to what is already been requested. currently, one has to look through 300+ listings to see what has been suggested.

  4. I support a very large site on safety issues and it would help to be able to include info on the source of the task such as the person, their group, method received such as phone, email, text; date received, stakeholders, etc, request type such as review, survey, lookup something. As sorting tasks by requestor would help in prioritizing items as they are often general requests with no specific deadline but rather need for help. This source could be accomplished by a link to a contact list but the method and date received

  5. There is already the possibility to choose some designs in "options - Themes". A few options are still missing: to choose the background of to-do-lists and the view-tree for example. There is much white which I would like to turn into darker colours

  6. When I duplicate a group of views I have to tweak the names of each and remove the '(copy)' at the end.

There's little horizontal space in the views pane to accommodate a full title description so I end up parsing anyway, yet have to worry about uniqueness as well.

I realize forcing unique titles keeps the title in the view title bar distinct, but is there a way to display title as a hierarchical?, e.g.

"View: Work \ Projects \ Completed"

...esp since the View title seems to always have plenty of un-used space.

    Thank you!

  7. Since I use MLO constantly, the MLO icon is one of the fours that are always visible at the bottom of all my Home screens, so it;s always one click away.

I would love it if a Quick Action (3D Touch) could be added that would open a new task, ready for typing or dictation, since adding tasks is 90% of what I do with MLO on my phone.

This would make it as easy as 1) Press Home button. 2) Hard press MLO icon. 3) Type or dictate task.

Of course, this is predicated on whether adding a Quick…

  8. ... so, it wouldn't be so visually intrusive. If the task path is, for example, in a smaller and lighter font; it would be more like a "hint", unintrusive yet useful.

  9. Maybe it could sound counterintuitive or contrary to MLO's philosophy, because if you need a task checklist, you can simply add sub-tasks under it.

But sometimes you need a simpler, cleaner way to subdivide a task.

Maybe it could be implemented simply by adding a rich text note editor with checkmarks and put the checklist as a note.

Please, take a look to how trello.com implements them.

  11. Would it make sense (I guess yes, IMHO) to create an Entreprise Version of MLO where, as a manager, you could create and delegate tasks to managees (and/or peers).

IMHO, the delegation shoud be done trhough the creation of a subtask, delegated (owned by the deleguee) so that you keep the initial task as your own responsability (if you delegate, you keep responsible of the task).

  12. Moving tasks is currently far too fiddly.

Currently, if the user clicks and holds a task by touching the text area of a Task, some green menu items appear, but the item can not be moved up or down the list of tasks.

I suggest what would be much more intuitive would be that if the user clicks and holds a task, and then whilst STILL holding the user starts dragging the Task up or down the screen, that the green menus should disappear and that the system should go into task move mode (much as if the user had…

  13. The idea here is that if you pinch together two (or more) tasks that are part of a list (or Project), that all 'peer' items in that list of tasks should immediately be closed.

i.e. In functional terms this is equivalent to opening touching the reversed "L" icon, however the great advantage is that the user does not need to be so accurate with his/her gestures.

See 0:30 secs into this video of CLEAR from RealMac Software to see what I mean:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx098UN_oG0

This would make MLO Android feel faster, more easy-to-use & more slick. Improving the "slickness" of the…

  14. To insert something into a list of tasks this should be possible by doing a "pull apart" action.

i.e. When a user views tasks (e.g. in Outline view), if the user does a "pull apart" gesture with their finders, MLO should insert a task at that place.

This can be seen at 35secs in this video about CLEAR from RealMac Software
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx098UN_oG0

This feature would not only make inserting a new task into the correct place in a list of tasks faster, easier and more fun, but this is also just the sort of slick feature one can show off/demo…

  15. Add a switch parameter to provide formatted text to go into the Notes field. Currently everything goes into the title.

  16. Hi everybody,

I like to have the possibility to set my MLO up in a way that
MLO requires certain data fields to be filled to accept a task.

that would make certain tasks are "processed", displayed and organized by MLO correctly

the data fields and the allowed input should be fully customizable.

Reason: I'd rather spend more time entering tasks into mlo and have them processed correctly than just throw them into the inbox and have to organize them later.

I hope you like and vote for this idea.

    Blessings, Nic

  17. Would be great to be able to add a phone number or contact link to a specific task. Would save a lot of time searching through contacts or typing numbers into the phone for appointment tasks in MLO.

  18. When organizing work flow or projects using folders there are times when you no longer need to see a folder in the outline view, but want to be able to have it visible later for reviews, or reuse of the hierarchy.

To do this, it would be useful if you could hide (and unhide) a folder, or a selected group of folders, with a) a check box function, and/or b) even better based on criteria like ' when empty ' or after 'such and such a date' and then be able to use a function that says 'make all hidden…

  19. Its not always necessary to have a start and/or due date for a re-occurring task. This is in part reflected in the ´re-generate task x number of days after competing the previous occurance´. But as we all know, most task should not have a due date, but prioritized by urgency, importance, etc. In this philosophy, it should also be possible to have re-occurring tasks that do not have a fixed start or due date, and its up to the auto prioritization, or simply our daily scan, to decide if we do it today, or tomorrow, or later. At this time,…

  20. With the option to ask about what to do with contexts when moving tasks to other Parents, so far I can only find a way to completely overwrite the existing Contexts (or not change them at all).

This is not handy because subtasks often have many additional contexts added, eg. a particular person related to a single task, and I do not want to loose that information.
Is there maybe still a way to do this that I do not know about?

What would even be better (but less necessary for me) is if we could select what contexts NOT…
